Self-deleting Pages

We had a weird thing happen last night. Two of us were working independently around a particular page but not directly on it. I was on workflows that reference it. The other was on dashboards embedded within it.

At some point, the page stopped responding and acted like it didn’t exist. Looking in the experience I could see that the page had indeed been deleted. The other person had also done so on their end. It was late and we both assumed the other had been doing something and that it would be handled this morning.

Upon conferring in the morning, we found that neither of us deleted the page, and neither did the one other person with permissions to do so. In a collab share, we recreated the page, copied from a backup. After we recreated it, we opened the page to edit it. Moments after, it deleted itself as we were working on it. The HTML frame disappeared and the page disappeared from the list of pages. Upon pressing F5, it did reappear, but the behavior was strange and makes us uncomfortable about potentially disappearing pages, especially since the original page did not reappear.

We weren’t recording, so we don’t have a demonstration, but the workflows still reference the old page (until we fix them to retarget the new copy). We will store off the page id of the lost page, at least.

Hey @Travis_Rhoden, are you both using the CLI for development?

we’re both using the app.losant.com web environment

That behavior is very surprising then. We’re going to enable audit logging on your organization, which will record who/what deletes resources. If you experience the issue again, please let me know and we can check those logs.

Okay, thanks. I will keep you updated.
