Data Export: Date Change issue + How to get Better resolution in a bigger range of time

Hello,

I am trying to export data out of my sensors for a period of 2 months with a resolution of 30 seconds, but I noticed that in order to do that I have to select range of 6 hours in order to get the resolution that I want, which gonna led me to spend a lot of time to do that for every 6 hours in a day for 2 months (x60 days), my questions are:

  1. Is there any other way to get the resolution 30 seconds selecting a bigger range of time such as 24h or more?
  2. I have attached a video in the link below that also explains some of the frustration when I want to select different time for a selected date.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @CHAIMAA_DRIOUECH,

  1. Is there any other way to get the resolution 30 seconds selecting a bigger range of time such as 24h or more?

There are a few ways to accomplish this. Would you be able to tell me the method in which you are exporting your sensor data?

  1. I have attached a video in the link below that also explains some of the frustration when I want to select different time for a selected date.

I have attempted to view this view, but am unable as I do not have access.

Thank you,
Heath Blandford

I am sorry here is the link for the video:

Answering your first question “Would you be able to tell me the method in which you are exporting your sensor data?”:

My client is asking me to give him all data related to his sensors in the last two months with a resolution of 30 seconds, in order to do that I have to divide the day in 6 hours in order to show the 30 seconds resolution in the resolution list otherwise it won’t show, my questions is why can’t the 30 seconds resolution show on a range upper than 6 hours per day, for example select a range of a whole day (24 hours) or 2 days (from Dec 1st to Dec 2nd) or even a week, a month… and still get the data with the resolution I am looking for which is 30 seconds, instead I have to make a selection for every 6 hours in a day x 60 times (for the 60 days in the 2 months).

Hope that explains it, Thanks again!

@CHAIMAA_DRIOUECH,

Thanks for sending the new link for the video. I am, though, unable to reproduce this issue on both my Mac and my PC. Would you be able to go to https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/ and either share with me the link it generates or a screenshot of its output?

My client is asking me to give him all data related to his sensors in the last two months with a resolution of 30 seconds

Losant cannot export 2 months of data with a 30-second resolution in the Data Explorer. However, What can be done, though, is exporting 2 months of raw data (without the aggregations).

How are you exporting data from Losant? Are you using the data explorer and then clicking “Export to CSV”? The Data Archiving Option? You can also select the “None” aggregation method to get the raw data in the Data Explorer.

Thank you,
Heath

Hi @Heath,

Thanks so much for your help, the “None” aggregation selection worked just fine for me, it shows all data I needed in the exported CVS file.

Here is the link as requested for whatsmybrowser.org if this is still needed:
What browser am I using?

Thanks again!
