Was hoping to get a USB barcode scanner to work with my ubuntu edge compute device.
Would I be using the serial node for that?

Yes, the Serial Trigger Node should work with a barcode scanner.

will the agent be able to see the physical USB port on the host device?

Hi Lars,

You will have to mount in the serial path using dockers ‘-v’ command, then you will be able to enter the path in the node. Because it’s in Docker you have to let it know it should mount in that path that exists outside the container. Here is some documentation on the Serial Trigger configuration.
