I see a notice about the latest 1.8.1 edge version is available , but the change notices only cover up to 1.8.0.

Where are you seeing a notice for 1.8.1? Could you provide a screenshot?

Sorry, I need new glasses. It was an agent I have running that showed 1.6.1, I misread it as I thought it was notifying me that 1.8.1 was available.
