# \[Solved\] Context for Device Connection Log Bug

I am having an issue using device ID context on the dashboard for a device connection log block. The block displays the correct data if I specify an exact device in the configuration. But if I use `{{ ctx.deviceId }}` the block will not display the expected information. Using that same context variable with other blocks works as expected, so I think I’ve configured the dashboard context correctly.
