Hello!
As of right now, my Losant application allows a user to create an account and a new device. I have one dashboard set up that needs to display this data from the newly created device. I want this dashboard to be able to update for whatever user is logged in, and present the data coming from their specific device. Is it possible for one dashboard to work for multiple users, or will I have to create a separate dashboard for each user?

If I have to create a separate dashboard for each user, is there a way for me to implement this into a workflow?

Thanks!

By “user” do you mean “[experience user](https://docs.losant.com/experiences/users/)”? If so, you can pass the experience user as a [context variable](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/context-variables/#experience-users) into the dashboard and [reference that context variable](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/context-variables/#using-experience-users) in your dashboard blocks to display that user’s device data.

**One warning:** The experience user context variable resolves in much the same way as [device tags](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/context-variables/#device-tags) do when utilized in dashboard blocks. So, for example, if you used the experience user variable in a [device list block](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/device-list/), what you would get back is a list of _all devices associated with the user_. Similarly, if you used the variable in a segment in a [time series graph](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/time-series-graph/), what would be graphed is the aggregate attribute value across _all the user’s associated devices_ in a single line.

Now, if your user \<-\> device association is always 1 to 1, this won’t be a problem for you. But if a user could be associated with multiple devices, what you’d probably want to do instead is:

- Create a single dashboard that serves as the “device detail dashboard” for all your experience users. This dashboard should make use of a [device ID context variable](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/context-variables/#device-ids) in all block queries.
- Create an [experience endpoint](https://docs.losant.com/experiences/endpoints/) that takes a device ID as a [path parameter](https://docs.losant.com/experiences/endpoints/#route).
- Use an [experience workflow](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/experience-workflows/) to handle requests to the endpoint, verifying that the user in question has an association with the device being requested, and replying with an [experience dashboard page](https://docs.losant.com/experiences/views/#dashboard-pages) that renders your device detail dashboard. This will involve an [Endpoint Trigger](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/triggers/endpoint/), a [Device: Verify Node](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/experience/verify-device/), and an [Endpoint Reply Node](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/outputs/endpoint-reply/).
- Your experience dashboard page can pass context variables from the request, which you would use to pass the value of the path parameter into your device ID context variable.

We cover this topic quite a bit in our [Building Application Experiences Deeper Dive](https://www.losant.com/deeper-dive-webinar-replay-building-experience-groups). I recommend checking that out.
