# Platform Update - Introducing Resource Jobs

Hello everybody! We’re excited to announce today’s platform update, which includes a number of new features:

- [Resource Jobs](https://docs.losant.com/applications/resource-jobs/), which allow for executing long-running, asynchronous tasks against Losant application resources.

- Dashboard improvements that place [context variables](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/context-variables/), [global duration and resolution](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/overview/#global-duration-and-resolution), and [past dashboard states](https://docs.losant.com/dashboards/overview/#viewing-past-dashboard-states) in a toolbar at the top of the layout.

- Additional commands added to the [Redis Node](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/data/redis/).

- Several new [Handlebars format helpers](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/accessing-payload-data/#format-helpers), as well as tweaks to a couple of existing helpers.

- A new [React.js Experience Bootstrap template](https://app.losant.com/applications/recent/template-library?templateId=636d6136fe22dcc03d4fd188).
