# Platform Update - CBOR Workflow Nodes, Improved Device Activity Logs

Today’s platform release exposes new [CBOR: Encode](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/logic/cbor-encode/) and [CBOR: Decode](https://docs.losant.com/workflows/logic/cbor-decode/) workflow nodes, which are useful in reducing bandwidth when communicating between the Gateway Edge Agent and the cloud MQTT broker.
