# Input Controls block and versioned dashboard

Seems like when I set my workflow (in this case Control) to a version and make that version the default when I go into my dashboard’s Input Controls block and look at my button the “Virtual Button” field displays random characters. See attached image.

If I set the default version of the workflow to develop the Input Controls block works as expected.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention!

We’re looking into this right now. I’ll be sure to follow up with you when we learn more.

In the meantime, if there are any screenshots you could share of your workflow configuration and the workflow versioning panel, it would be very beneficial to us as we dig into this!

@Wesley_Manning,

I wanted to let you know that we were able to reproduce this issue on our end and a ticket has been created!

Something that may help you until this is fixed is to visit the workflow version you have set as default, and before you refresh the page, visit the dashboard that is utilizing the Input Control Block.

I’ll be sure to reach back out to you when a fix for this is rolled out.
