# Dashboard Image block refreshable and uses url at device level

I’m new to losant so I’m not sure if I’ve missed a feature or a workaround, but is it be possible to get the Image block to change on a dashboard refresh request to the url that is stored at the device level?  
Ultimately I’d like to display different images based on the state of a device and while I can add this in the pageData to update the dashboard context, the image block won’t update until the user refetches the experience page.

Hi @steen_cummings,

Welcome to the Losant Forums! A dashboard refresh will not refetch the image, so it will not update if the image were to change. In the meantime, with some custom Javascript, you should be able to target the image block and refresh it on an interval. I will also create a feature request for this with our engineering team.
