# Bulk import device recipe CSV generator

It would be really nice if the system put out a bulk download template CSV file already formatted correctly for the system to ingest based off the device recipe I created. The readout of how to setup the file is not clear (at least to me). Would be nice to just click download and have a blank CSV with all the fields correctly formatted so I just have to fill in the information for each device I’m importing into the system.

Hi @Jonathan_Betke,

I could definitely see use cases for this in the future; I will create a feature request for our engineers and update you as to if it is implemented.

We also have some helpful [documentation](https://docs.losant.com/devices/device-recipes/#bulk-device-creation) that outlines and gives an example of the CSV format for bulk device creation.
